We've seen some great non-conventional uses of mason jars over the years, but this one might just take the cake. Meet Lauren Singer, an environmental zero-waste activist who has committed to limiting herself to create only as much trash as can fit into this mason jar.
She is also a huge advocate of using mason jars to store and carry food:
I do not use any tupperware and instead I bring my lunch to work in mason jars. I love them because they seal water tight so you don't have to worry about spilling, they are made of glass so they are totally safe to eat from, and you can easily reheat your food in them.
