Italian-style spaghetti sauce

Most store-bought spaghetti sauce these days is so full of added refined sugar, that you might as well think of it as tomato syrup.

This recipe from the Bernardin Complete (2015, page 365) leaves out the sugar and lets the flavour of the ingredients speak for themselves.
